Civally is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. Our team is actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to as many of the available standards and guidelines as possible.
This website, and those built on the Civally platform, aim to conform to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act guidelines. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone. While there are no published standards for The Americans with Disabilities Act, legal precedent has validated WCAG 2.1 Level AA as acceptable.
This site has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS. The site displays correctly in current browsers; and use of standard compliant HTML/CSS code means any future browsers will also display it correctly. Best practices for screen reader compatibility and keyboard navigation have also been implemented.
While Civally does strive to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website. Specific exceptions will be listed when applicable. Our team is continually seeking solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility. In the meantime, should you experience any difficulty in accessing the Civally website, or any siite developed and hosted by us, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
